What it costs, in full.
Canvas size and the number of subjects. Those are the only two things that move the price — not the background, not the difficulty, not how many photographs you send us.

From £35$49€39CA$69A$69NZ$79CHF 39SEK 449NOK 449DKK 299PLN 179 a face
The first subject is included in the canvas price. Everyone after that (a second person, a grandchild, the dog, the horse) is £35$49€39CA$69A$69NZ$79CHF 39SEK 449NOK 449DKK 299PLN 179 on the three smaller canvases, rising to £79$109€89CA$149A$149NZ$179CHF 89SEK 1,049NOK 999DKK 699PLN 399 at 36 × 48", where each figure is painted at close to life size. Bigger groups usually want a bigger canvas so every face has room to be a proper portrait, and we will tell you which size yours needs before you commit. Here is how it adds up in practice.

Every total above includes delivery, wherever in the world you are. Any import duty or tax your country charges is separate, and is paid by you.
What the price covers — and what it doesn't
Included
- Oil paint on canvas, painted by hand. Not a print, not a filter, not an AI render.
- One subject at every size. A person, a dog, a horse — the first one is in the price.
- Delivery worldwide, rolled in a tube.
- Approval before dispatch. Nothing ships until you have seen a photograph of the finished painting and said yes.
- Reworking if the face is not right. That is the job, not an extra.
Not included
- A frame. Every painting arrives unframed — deliberately. Framed canvases get damaged in transit far more often, and a frame bought near you will suit the room better than one shipped from the studio.
- Extra subjects, from £35$49€39CA$69A$69NZ$79CHF 39SEK 449NOK 449DKK 299PLN 179 each on the smallest canvas to £79$109€89CA$149A$149NZ$179CHF 89SEK 1,049NOK 999DKK 699PLN 399 on the largest; the table below gives the figure for every size. That is the whole of the extra cost: no per-face surcharge on top of it and no minimum group size.
- Import duty or tax charged by the country the painting is delivered to. Delivery itself is included wherever you are, but a customs charge is separate from delivery and is yours to pay.
And nothing else. No studio fee, no charge per photograph, no surcharge for a difficult background or a change to the photograph.
Copying a master costs less
A reproduction is a hand-painted copy of a public-domain masterwork from the catalogue rather than a painting of your own photograph. Same oil, same canvas, same studio — a shorter price list, because the composition already exists. £129$179€149CA$239A$239NZ$299CHF 139SEK 1,699NOK 1,599DKK 1,099PLN 649 to £459$619€539CA$859A$859NZ$1,069CHF 499SEK 5,999NOK 5,749DKK 3,999PLN 2,309, unframed, delivery included worldwide.

What people ask before ordering
Does a different background or a change to the photo cost more?
No. A plain background, a new setting, glasses or a lead left out — all the same money. Canvas size and the number of subjects are the only two things that move the price, which is why the table above is the whole price list.
Is the extra-subject charge per photograph or per subject?
Per subject in the finished painting. Send six photographs of one person and it is still one subject; send one photograph with four people in it and it is four. Pets count the same as people: a dog added to a couple is the same £35$49€39CA$69A$69NZ$79CHF 39SEK 449NOK 449DKK 299PLN 179 to £79$109€89CA$149A$149NZ$179CHF 89SEK 1,049NOK 999DKK 699PLN 399 as a person, depending on the canvas, not a different price list.
When do I actually pay?
When you order, by card, Apple Pay or Klarna, through Stripe's secure checkout. Delivery is included in the total. We check your photograph within hours, 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday (UK time), and if it will not make a good painting we say so then — send another, or we refund you in full before any painting starts.
Is delivery extra?
No. Delivery is included in every price on this page, wherever in the world you are. The painting travels rolled in a tube, and if it arrives damaged in transit we replace or refund it in full. Any import duty or tax charged by the country it is delivered to is separate from delivery and is yours to pay.
